how do you remove ball Point Pen stains that have been set by a dryer.?

what is the best way with out going to the cleaners to get pen stains out of clothing if they already got into the dryer? Also should you use different removers depending on what fabric/material the clothes are made out of? BTW. most of the clothes are dark, so bleaching would not be a good idea?

Hairspray is the way to go, my husband wears dark colored shirts and he is constantly getting ink on them, I keep hairspray in the laundry room, Some works better than other brands, I have had good luck with Aqua Net, I spray on kind of heavy on the area, toss in the wash and it always comes clean even after finding the shirts in the dryer. Depending on the type of clothing you may want to experiment with the pump and then the other type aerosol cans. I use both, aerosol works better for my husbands shirts.
